What we will not build
The lines we have drawn for Miransas and Miralas, written down so you can hold us to them.

Saying no is part of building a good company. These are the lines we have drawn for Miransas and Miralas.
Our rules
| Rule | Why |
|---|---|
| No gambling, betting, casino or game-ad businesses as customers or sponsors | We will not put the Miransas or Miralas logo under the same roof as them. |
| No donation or payment-handling features | Handling card data invites fraud, and it carries banking and cybersecurity regulation we do not want to take on. |
| Voice cloning must be traceable | Cloning can be abused. Miralas is designed so that misuse can be traced back to an account. |
| Terms and policies written with legal counsel | A premium product needs premium paperwork. |
What this means for Miralas
Early on, we considered a feature that reads donations aloud on streams. We decided against it permanently. Miralas stays focused on what we do best: voice cloning, text-to-speech and speech-to-speech.
Voice cloning and responsibility
Cloning a voice is powerful, and it can be misused for fraud or impersonation. We take three steps:
- We only work with voices we have the right to use, under clear agreements.
- Our models and tools are used under terms that forbid impersonation and misleading content.
- Our privacy policy, which we are preparing with legal counsel, will explain how account information is handled and when it can be disclosed.
The tools we build on, such as Chatterbox, already mark generated audio with an imperceptible watermark. Read more on the models page.
A promise about Miransas Chess
If Miransas Chess ever attracts sponsors, our plan is to give that money to sick children. And, as above, never from gambling or betting companies.
Why publish this
Rules written down are rules you can be held to. If we ever break one of these, you now have the page to point to.
